Blue Cornflower “A” Series. You are viewing a 2 quart CorningWare. Casserole and Pyrex lid from the very first Blue Cornflower “A” Series, which began in 1971. 8.0 x 8.0 x 2.5. This is the casserole alone. With the lid the overall height is 4.5 inches. Material (Casserole): Glass-Ceramic i. Pyroceram, which is resistant to thermal shock. Material (Lid): Pyrex Glass. Since I have always been afraid to damage the piece; it has been used only two (2) times in the 47 years I have owned it. It is in near mint condition–practically unused. This casserole has never been washed in an automatic dishwasher. There are no scratches, cracks, or chips on either piece except underneath on the very bottom of the casserole which has small scratches from sliding in and out of the oven. Great care will be taken to pack this item so it arrives safely at your location. These CorningWare pieces have been stored in a smoke-free environment and sealed away from pets.
