Description ——- Rare survivor – ONE (1), vintage, c1979, original, CORNING WARE Casserole dish A-1-B, and matching PYREX GLASS lid. The pattern is BLUE CORNFLOWER. Interesting trivia: Corning actually called these casseroles “saucepans” as you can read on the box. This SET is vintage New Old Stock – NEW, UNUSED, MINT in the Original cardboard box with original package insert. The BOX WAS OPENED just to check on condition, and to take the photos. Please enlarge all photos to view. Capacity – 1 Quart. Mark is the infamous HOLOGRAM mark, used from 1972 to 1979. The hologram mark is quite difficult to see – it’s on the underside – you have to tip the casserole at just the right angle, in a very bright light, and have good eyes. I was lucky to be able to tip this just right – in sunlight – and grab a photo of the hologram mark. Please enlarge to view. Weight is just shy of 3 pounds in the original box before packing.
