Vintage Corning Ware “Blue Cornflower” Miscellaneous Set (11pcs). This set includes (1) P-322 (8x8x2) square dish, (1) P-4-B (7×5-1/2×3) rectangle baking dish with P4C glass lid, P-309 (9×1-1/4) round pie pan, and (1) P-315-B (9x5x3) loaf pan. Also included in this set is (1) sugar bowl with metal lid some damage on metal lid – see pictures, (1) food chopper, (1) sugar pourer, (2) salt/pepper shakers 1 has “S” on lid, 1 has “P” on lid, and (1) shaker with open top.
How to Authenticate the Vintage of Corning Ware Blue Cornflower Casserole Dishes. 1961 – 1966: Single Graphic of Flame Logo on Top. First Line Reads “CORNING WARE”. Second Line shows the Capacity (1 QT) and the Style Designation (P-1-B). Third Line Reads MADE IN U. ” No additional print is below the “MADE IN U. 1966 – 1969: The Cornflower image was added underneath the Capacity & Style Line. If a piece has this Second Image, it is not from the 1961 – 1966 Vintage. The 1961 – 1966 Vintage only had the Stylized Fire Logo at the very Top. 1969 – 1972: The words “FOR RANGE & MICROWAVE” were added as the bottom line of Text. The Rare 1961 – 1966 Vintage did not contain a Second Graphic Image in the Maker’s Mark. It only had the Flame Graphic at the very top. Items that contain a Second Image or contain the words “FOR RANGE & MICROWAVE” are NOT Vintage 1961 – 1966. The Casserole Dish itself may be the most Pristine example of 1961 – 1966 that we’ve ever seen. There are no cracks, chips or crazing. The Color is Bright White. Most importantly, there are very minimal usage marks around the perimeter of the underside of the Casserole Dish. (We had to take extremely close photos to show any usage marks). Even with these Extreme Close Up photos the item shows very minimal visible signs of usage. The Lid is in Very Good Condition. We would evaluate it as “Excellent” except for the minor blemish in one corner (pointed out with the tip of a pencil in the photos). The Glass Lid is denoted as P-7-C on the outer Rim.
