Vintage CorningWare 2 1/2 Quart Blue Cornflower Casserole Dish w/Lid P-2-1/2-B USA. CorningWare was once an everyday staple for many families and is now a pretty hot collectible item of kitchen ware. The opaque dishes with cute designs on the sides were first made in Corning, New York, in the 1950s a true post-war invention for the modern family. By the 1960’s a lot of family households had acquired this kitchen ware with this design. CorningWare is extremely accommodating in the kitchen. You can take it out of the refrigerator, into the oven, straight to the table and back again. It is safe in the microwave, convection and conventional ovens, freezer, refrigerator and dishwasher. It is exceptionally durable and can be handed down for generations. First generation rare vintage blue corningware cornflower casserole dish from the 1960’s. This was my grandmothers dish. Nice looking dish with lid in nice condition for its age. Please see pictures as they are part of the description. Piece will come packaged nicely. Smoke and pet free home.
