A vintage CorningWare large 2-1/2 quart casserole dish with fin lid. Second generation with clear glass fin handled lid and VERY RARE smudged blue painted mark on the bottom (pre letter codes). Mid-Century Modern rounded square shape. Blue cornflower design on two sides. Made in the United States in 1960 or 1961. Painted stamp on the bottom reads Corning Ware (R) 2 1/2 QT. ” Edge of the lid is embossed with “Pyrex (R). In good preowned condition. Some minor scuffs and light scratches from previous use on inside, bottom, and lid. Lid does not have chips or cracks, and there is a tiny raised spot with extra glass that looks like a chip (but is not). No chips or cracks on the white dish. See images for details.
