This rare vintage Corning Ware casserole dish set features the popular Spice of Life pattern, with a white glass ceramic construction, the set includes La Marjolaine a 2 quart capacity with glass lid marked A-2-B, Le’Persil La’Sauge a 1 1/2 quart capacity with glass lid marked A-1-1/2-B, and L’Echalote a 1 quart capacity with a plastic lid marked A-1-B. This is actual original pieces manufactured in the 1970’s, the hologram is almost impossible to see. This one also has the slanted sides and a Pyrex cover. These dishes have never been used, I did take them out of the original box for photos. The box does show wear and the top has been taped, the box also has no scanning bar code on it which helps to date it also. Perfect for collectors or those who appreciate retro kitchenware. Vintage Corning Ware 1.5 quart casserole dish in mint condition. The Spice of Life Pattern was only manufactured from 1972 to 1987. The script pattern identification was only written “on the earliest versions” and this one has a script identifier showing. Le Persil La Sauge. There is a stamp under one of the casserole handles that says. Corning Ware [R in a circle] the separation of Corning and Ware into 2 words confirms it is pre 1998. A – 1 1/2 – B 1 1/2 Quart (the beginning A confirms the manufacture date as post 1972). Range – Microwave – Oven. Corning, NY, USA 1181 MA. The lid has embossed letters and numbers on 2 sides. On one side: A Pyrex [R in circle] A7C. On the opposite side: 25. Dish 8.5″ (including handles) x 7″, Lid 7″ x 7″. Both casserole dish and lid look unused with no scratches or staining – please look carefully at photos.
